The Surkhrod Packing facility, the first one of its type in Afghanistan, established and run by USAID’s IDEA-NEW is handed over to Tak Dana. Tak Dana is a local firm which deals in fresh produce marketing, nationally and on international level. The privatization of Surkhrod Pack House to Tak Dana ensures its long term operation which means even if IDEA-NEW is ended, the Pack House will still continue.
